Ikeda Terumasa

Born as the second son of Ikeda Tsuneoki. After Tsuneoki's death, Toyotomi Hideyoshi granted him the governorship of the Ikeda family, and he took Ieyasu's daughter, Princess Toku, as his second wife. After the Battle of Sekigahara, he was given 520,000 goku (one koku was considered enough rice to feed one person for a year) in Harima and settled in Himeji Castle. After entering Himeji Castle, he began a large-scale reconstruction of the castle that would be the Castle that still stands to this day.
